Traditional Chinese Medicine

For thousands of years, Chinese medicine has viewed and treated people holistically.

Already in the Yellow Emperor, one of the oldest basic works of Chinese medicine, it is clearly stated that it would be one of the basic mistakes of a therapist to consider the human being in isolation from his environment and socio-economic situation.

The different therapeutic methods all serve the same purpose: to keep the human being healthy as a whole, or to restore health if he is already ill.

The seven pillars of Chinese medicine are therefore:

  • Nutrition
  • Tuina massage
  • Acupuncture
  • Herbal therapy
  • Moxibustion
  • Cupping
  • Movement - Qi Gong

For the diagnosis, besides the conversation, i.e. the questioning, there is also the observation

  • Observation: how does the person look, how does he stand, how does he walk?
  • Palpation: very important is the pulse diagnosis, temperature, skin moisture, tissue consistency...
  • Listening/smelling: Sounds (breath, intestine, cough...), smells (mouth, sweat...)

available.
